Every sale is the same
My old sales manager when I was selling boilers in the UK used to always tell me…
‘Hassan, every sale is the same’
At first I never really understood what he meant
Then as I got better at sales I realised he was completely right.
EVERY SALE IS THE SAME.
Think of it like this:
Imagine you made 100 sales in one day.
Prospect number 101 isn’t going to give a fuck.
There’s no special prize.
If you get complacent with your pitch and objection handling.
It doesn’t matter how many previous ‘good’ sales you’ve had
If your pitch loses even 1% of its quality
YOU WILL LOSE THE SALE.
When I was broke doing Door-2-Door sales
Sometimes I would be super tired when I was knocking on doors in the UK.
Maybe I was exhausted from the gym and it was raining
and all my friends were at some party nearby
naturally, you’re going to feel lower energy right?
but in sales, you can’t afford to have low energy or you will never sell anything.
So on days like this, I would constantly remind myself
‘Hassan all sales are the same. Keep going.’
All it takes is a couple of sales and the day becomes way better.
The best thing about this lesson is that it applies to ALL areas of life.
Every day is the same and if you don’t attack each one with the same enthusiasm as the day before you will LOSE days.
I always tell this to the guys in NEW MONEY.
Yesterday doesn’t exist.
This is why every day you need NEW MONEY in your bank accounts.
Constantly attacking.
Every day is the same opportunity to make progress.
