WHY You Shouldn't Let Arrogance Get to Your Head

There’s a guy in NEW MONEY named Lamek right

And the reason why Lamek is one of my favorite guys in NEW MONEY is because

He just LISTENS to advice

He doesn’t question it

He doesn’t sit there and think “Why should I do this?”

He sits there and thinks:

“Okay this person is more successful than me, let me just listen to him.”

He doesn’t overcomplicate shit

So I remember about six months ago I was telling everyone:

“Do this typing course.

Learn how to type quickly.

It’s like one of the best things that ever happened to me in my life.

It’s a big part of the reason why I’m successful because I’m very quick at typing.

It’s helped me out a lot on life. Blah blah blah”

And I remember he actually did the full course, and now his typing speed has doubled

He used to be like on 45 words per minute and now he’s on like 90

Which is a BIG BIG difference

(Right?)

And there’s a million different examples he’s done such as that

For example get into sales

Now he’s got a sales opportunity with me

With one of the things I sell

So the point I’m making is

He just does what he’s supposed to do

He just listens

He doesn’t question things and overcomplicate things

He just DOES IT

And everyone else is trying to be too smart

They’re like “Ah why should I do this”

“Is this the best use of my time”

When you’re BROKE,

EVERYTHING IS THE BEST USE OF YOUR TIME

BECAUSE you’re fucking broke

Your time isn’t worth shit

Right?

People say “Time is money”

Yeah, time IS money

But when your broke—your time ain’t worth shit

Your time ain’t worth fucking anything

Just DO THINGS

JUST. LISTEN.

Just listen to people who are more successful than you giving you advice

So I guess the lesson of the day is be more like Lamek

When someone more successful than you tells you something

Just do it.

What’s the worst-case scenario?

Obviously, if someone says “Jump off a cliff”, don’t jump off a cliff

But if someone is telling you something that is advice that CAN’T be bad

That it doesn’t seem negative in any way

Just do it

Don’t overthink.

Just try it.
